Did you know that experts estimate the average ten year old will spend at least $30,000 on mobile technology during their life time?!?!? Click here for the story. Does that strike anyone else as a high number? Too low? I mean that’s a lot of instant messages, isn’t it? I really don’t know since I’ve never used my phone that way, though my husband’s work blackberry seems permanently attached to his hip somedays. I’m thinking my daughter won’t get her own cell phone for at least ten years until she’s sixteen and driving. Why on earth would a ten year old need their own anyway? I can’t think of much good that would come from that…Hmmm.

I have a cell phone, but very very rarely use it. I basically carry it in case I get in trouble, or if I am at the grocery store and need to ask hubby a question, other than that, it never gets used.
I see my friends with all of their fancy phones, with music, text messaging, camera, and apparently mini-camcorders, whew! No thanks! That’s a waste of money.
I have a huge pet peeve about people yapping on those things as they drive. It’s dangerous.
Sunday, morning I passed a guy going 30 mph in a 65 mph zone, and what was he doing, dialing a number!! ARghh…
