Rachel Hauck writes what I call supernatural romance. Or spiritual fairytales. Whatever you call them, her books are rich romances with strong spiritual truths woven through the story in such an organic way I can’t imagine the stories without them. How to Catch a Prince is no different.

In How to Catch a Prince, a series of secrets has kept Corina and Stephen apart while also binding them together. The future seems settled until the whisper “Love well” breathes across Corina’s heart. The tension pulls them together and thrusts them apart while the past forms a barrier that seems insurmountable.

Love well.

It’s an urging that resonates. What does it mean to love well? How does one do it? This novel whispers at the power of the concept while issuing a challenge wrapped in a romance that is laced with attraction, desire, and secrets dark enough to keep them apart forever.

How to Catch a Prince is perfect for those who love modern fairytales and a book with rich spiritual threads. Think grown up Princess Diaries.

  1. My favorite fairy tale would have to be Cinderella. Love that Prince Charming, although I prefer the movie version with Drew Barrymoore.

  2. I always loved the Princess and the Pea as a kid, and now I like most fairy tales especially those that have been retold.

  3. My favorite fairy tale depends on the version. For instance, Beauty & the Beast is my favorite Disney but I don’t tend to love it in any other version. I kind of like The Nutcracker and the Mouse King – not the ballet version, the original with the curse. I also like George MacDonald’s The Light Princess.

  4. I always loved Rapunzel – but the sanitized version! 🙂

I always thought I would love to have all that hair! (I’ve changed my mind now that I’m older!)

  5. Hi Cara! How do you pick just one?!? As far as Disney goes it’s a tossup for me between Little Mermaid and Aladdin because I loooove their soundtracks and the romantic storylines. But I’ve been reading Grimm’s fairy tales to my nieces lately and adore The Twelve Dancing Princesses!

I think that’s why it’s so many people’s favorite fairy tale. We all want to be Cinderella and have our prince rescue us from drudgery.

  6. I love all kinds of fairy tales, so it’s kind of hard to pick just one. As for romance, my favorite fairy tale is probably Beauty and the Beast. To learn to love someone because of WHO they are is so much more important than loving just their outward looks or money or castles!

I think deep down every person wants to be loved for WHO they are … this is even true in our love relationship with God. He doesn’t want us to just love His miracles, answers to prayer, and keeping us out of hell. He wants us to get to know Him and love Him for all that He is!

  9. My favorite fairytale is sleeping beauty. It is such a great story that when she pricked her finger and went to sleep that the whole town went to sleep also until the prince came and kissed her than everyone awoke. I like that because it shows that everyone loved her enough to sleep too.

  10. My favorite Fairy Tale is Snow White. Can you imagine living in a tiny house with 7 men? At least they went off to work everyday.

  11. I know the Disney versions are different from the originals, but I think Beauty and the Beast is my favorite, because the female is actually the “hero” – sacrificing herself to save her father, and then overcoming her fear of the beast and finding compassion and affection for him.

  12. Hmm … I guess Cinderella was my favorite fairy tale growing up, but my favorite Disney adaptation is Tangled (Rapunzel). My newest favorite fairy tale adaptations are Marissa Meyer’s Lunar Chronicles. They are kind of scifi, futuristic adaptations of Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, and Rapunzel. The 4th novel, based on Snow White releases later this year. =)

  13. At this moment, it’s a toss-up between Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella. But, I haven’t read Rachel’s yet. Maybe hers will be. The reviews sound fascinating. Thanks for the give-away.
