Have you had a chance to read We Three Kings? If so would you be willing to leave a review? Reviews and word of mouth are still the best way that new readers discover a book. Another great way to help people discover the book is to ask your library to purchase it. It’s a great way for people to get to read it.
October is here and with it, the opportunity to pause and reflect on another season. This weekend my husband and I slipped away for a couple days at a small town in southern Indiana. It’s been an intense start to the school year and the rest of this semester will be full as I start a new book, market the Christmas book that released in September (We Three Kings), and travel to the Netherlands for a conference for work. We’re also taking our kids on a trip for Thanksgiving. So it’s all very good, but very full.
Eric and I needed a couple days to step away and reconnect. It was so good to rest and relax while exploring the beautiful West Baden Springs Hotel. Eric asked if I had any book ideas. Of course, a few tried to burble to the surface, but they were around WWI, and that’s outside my time period. I’m slowly learning to say no!
Stay tuned as much more is coming in November, including the opportunity to buy many of my books direct from me. I’m also exploring turning several of my books into audiobooks that have never been in that format. Which one would you like to listen to first?
I’m also excited to record a series of new interviews for Book Talk. This fall, the series is me talking with you about my books, and that’s been so fun to tell you the stories behind my books. But y’all, publishers have been reaching out about some GREAT books. I can’t wait to talk to many of my friends including Lynette Eason this week and Sarah Sundin very soon. These new episodes will come your way starting in January. I can’t wait! I hope you’re excited too. And until then you can always catch up on the more than 100 episodes. And be sure to follow as that makes a difference in discoverability and more.
A few more book notes from my friends…
Katherine Reay’s novels Lizzy & Jane and a Portrait of Emily Price are on ebook sale for $3.99 each this month on Amazon. Sarah’s Ladd’s Dawn at Emberwilde is on ebook sale for $2.99 right now as well. As always, doublecheck that the price hasn’t changed before you purchase.
As I continue to celebrate the release of We Three Kings, I wanted to share another giveaway with you. This is for another copy of the book and an ornament from the cover. Good luck!
