If so, you definitely want to watch this episode of Book Talk because Allison Pittman is giving us all the behind-the-scenes into her next book Laura’s Shadow. In this book, she takes two characters and Cap Garland and creates a dual timeline book that explores the world around Laura Ingalls Wilder.

Allison and I talk about her research, who is better Cap or Gilbert Blythe (we don’t agree!), and how she finds her story ideas. It’s all about wondering about the story we don’t know.
