Writing is such a journey. When I started writing 12 years ago, I hoped that maybe one or two books would get published. Well, the first one was published in the fall of 2007 and since then I’ve written 26 and I have at least two more coming. Crazy! It’s easy for me to get so busy writing that I keep my head down and forget to celebrate all the good and fun things that are happening. I want to give away a book as part of my Valentine’s Day celebration.
Because I’ve been writing a relatively long time now, I’m at the point of getting some of my rights back to my earliest books. This is thrilling because I adore these early stories from World War II. It’s terrifying because now I’m publishing them on my own. Even though these finaled in or won awards, I’ve had them edited one more time. I’ve read them for ways to keep improving them, they’ve gotten beautiful, fresh covers, and we’re also making audio books! Let me just say this is exciting, overwhelming, and feels a little bit like jumping off a cliff toward a new opportunity. It is so weird (and cool!) to hear someone else read and interpret your book.
I loved the first covers for these Heartsongs, but it has been so fun to work with a cover designer on a fresh look for them. Here are the covers for Canteen Dreams and Sandhill Dreams:
Aren’t these fun? I adore them! And I can’t wait to see what we develop for the rest of the series. The other writing news I am super excited about is that we are well on our way to the release of Beyond Justice! Now is a great time to snap it up because it is on pre-order ebook sale for $4.99.
I’ve written a novella that is a prequel to the Hidden Justice series and because you’re reading friends of mine, I wanted to let you know there are two places you can find it for free right now. The first is by clicking here. This link will take you to InstaFreebie where if you sign up for my enewsletter, you can get the novella in PDF, MOBI, or other ebook formats. If you don’t mind PDF only, you can go to my website and download it here.
Both are legal romantic suspense, and Dying for Love will introduce you to the characters and setting in Beyond Justice. It’s been such fun to build these stories and I can’t wait to hear what you think about them.
Finally, I want to thank you for being part of my writing journey. I don’t know if you understand how very much writers value readers. You are why we write. So as a Valentine’s thank you, I’m giving away one of my books. All you have to do is enter via the form below. Thanks for celebrating with me!
