It’s Christmas time and that means I’m participating in various Christmas themed giveaways with many of my writing friends. I posted several of those giveaways here. Be sure to pop over before they end!
Today I want to welcome you to The Christian Fiction Christmas Scavenger Hunt that runs from today until December 12th.
It’s a Christmas Christian Fiction Round-Robin! Aka it’s a great way to get to test many different Christmas books.
Hereās how it works: At each authorās blog post, you will find a question that can be answered by checking out the free Amazon preview of their book. Provide the answer atĀ this form. Note:Ā You must answer the questions for every author in the round -robin to be considered to win the $250 first place, $150 second place or $100 third place Amazon gift cards.Ā These prizes are USD values. If you are not a U.S. resident, you will get a gift card from the Amazon store for your country; however, it will be valued at these USD amounts.)
At the end of my post is a link to the next blog, who will provide a link to the next blog, etc., to the very end, creating a circle (a round-robin) visit through all of the authorsā blogs. Also be sure to enter the bonus giveaway I’m hosting right here.
Iām thrilled to get the chance to tell you about my novella Silver Bell Secrets, which is part of the Christmas in Mistletoe Square collection and such fun for me to write. Fun fact: my novella in Dangerous Pursuits, another Christian novella collection, is connected to Silver Bell Secrets.
I was at a writers’ brainstorming retreat with Pepper and Janine, along with Janyre Tromp, Kim Duffy, and Joanna Politano and Pepper and Janine started talking about this Christmas novella collection they wanted to write. I kind of — no, actually– invited myself into the fun. And it was just as much fun as I’d hoped. Pepper writes the most delightful kissing books. Janine has a great voice for romance with heart. And Teresa was so delightful to write with — her story is a great twist on a married romance.
I couldn’t wait to write with them and was excited to try something new. For me that was giving the novel a light and fun air reminescent of some of my favorite rom coms with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks, You’ve Got Mail. My heroine is a reluctant bookstore owner who added a coffee bar, and now a NYC editor is in Kedgewick Creek to convince her to write a book. Only he doesn’t know she’s dyslexic and not the author of the blog that caught his employer’s attention. There’s great dialouge and a touch of mystery layered over the romance. Add in Christmas and it’s just plain fun!
As a reader, I enjoy the pace of shorter novellas in this busy season, so it’s a good challenge to write in a collection like Christmas in Mistletoe Square.
So pop over here to Amazon to read the preview, which is the first three chapters of Pepper’s novella. Or go here, to download the sampler and read the first three chapters of each novella. Either way, I hope you enjoy sampling this collection!
Next up, be sure to pop over to Diana Carver’s blog so you can check out the clue for her book A Gift Forever.
