Love reading Christian fiction again! For a while, I only read my Bible and non-fiction by Christian ministers….now I’m enjoying reading all 3!! Thank you so much!
Well, my favorite Christmas fiction has always been Charles Dicken’s A Christmas Carol. It’s not a Christian fiction but it does have a LOT of Christian principles. God reveals to us the things we need to change before we destroy ourselves & our chance at Heaven (like the 3 spirits did for Scrooge). Also, there a themes of not being bitter, that even though we’ve made mistakes in the past, we don’t have to continue them & we can have a second chance & a bright future no matter who we are or how old we are. Isn’t that just like God? To love us enough to give us a second chance at any point in our lives? 🙂 so anyway, That’s my favorite 🙂
Mine is Little Women. I know it’s technically not a Christmas only story but it starts out with Christmas and I love that book so much. Same with the Little House on the Prairie books with the Christmas stories.
My favorite Christmas story is within Bess Streeter Aldrich’s A Lantern in Her Hand with Christmas on the prairie, and many more of my Christmas collection I add to, cozy together. Also, A Wintry Night by Ruth Graham Bell. Kathleen ~ Lane Hill House lanehillhouse[at]centurylink[dot]net
My favorite Christmas book is Jothem’s Journey. It is the first in a 3 book series that daily walks through life with a young boy-10-11 years old at the time of Jesus birth. The other two are really great too, but it is read like an Advent devotional and very exciting! So great that my older kids read through it again on their own each Advent!!! (my 20 year old!!!) : )
I don’t know about a favorite, so I will just mention the one I read most recently… A Highlander for Christmas by Jamie Carie. A great novella, loved it.
I love Christmas stories. There are so many wonderful ones. But I am gonna put the Christmas Story from the bible. Thats what it is truly all about.
Blessings and Merry CHRISTmas joeym11@frontier.com
If I have to chose a favorite Christmas book it would be “Christmas Carol” and favorite Christmas movie would be “Miracle on 34th Street” (old version). I love most anything along that vein. I do love “Scrooged”, too. We always read the Christmas story before we open gifts to give credit where it is due. We tend to read it multiple times because of the many “Christmases” we have family over the holidays. Congratulations on all of the writers on their marvelous works. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
There are so many wonderful Christian authors now. And they all seem to write so quickly that my TBR pile/list is always growing no matter how much I read. Then there are also great clean books being written that I enjoy as well. I can’t leave out the classics that I do enjoy going back and re-reading. But it is still fun to find new authors, many of them I find that I like just as much as the tried and true on my list. The ones your are giving away this time are mainly in the new-to-me category, but they all sound great. Thanks for introducing them to me.
I always forget to find out what question we are supposed to be answering. Sorry about that. My favorite Christmas story is from the bible itself. I love to go through the gospels and piece the whole story together in order.
My favorite Christmas book would have to be the Polar Express and my favorite Christmas movie would have to be It’s a wonderful life, Annie, and Miracle on 34th st. Every year on Christmas day my mom, sister, and I would watch It’s a Wonderful Life on TV.
Too many to name — I love reading new ones and rediscovering ones I’ve already read. Just finished Colleen Coble’s newest Holy Night. Remember reading Debbie Macomber’s Angel series years ago and looking forward to the next adventure of Shirley, Goodness and Mercy.

Little Drummer boy….captures the gift that Jesus gave and the response HE wants from us!

The kids and I were singing that at the top of our voices in the van tonight. For a long time I didn’t get the meaning now I love it!

One of my favorite Christmas books is The Unfinished Gift by Dan Walsh. So good!
Author
I love that book! It’s still my favorite of his.

The Littlest Angel
I’ve never really been overly fond of Christmas novels but my current favorite is a really good one, it’s The Christmas Quilt by Vannetta Chapman.
I really enjoy O. Henry’s writings and The Gift Of The Magi was a favorite when I read it.
