  19. I do like Jane Austen’s work, though it’s been awhile since I’ve read her books. I think Pride and Prejudice is my favorite. I read Sarah’s book, The Headmistress of Rosemere. Now her other books are on my “want to read” list. Thanks for the chance to win

  26. I love anything written about or during the Regency period, but major shocker – out of the thousands of books I’ve read- I have yet to read anything by Jane Austen. (I know it doesn’t count, but Pride & Prejudice was my favorite Austen movie along with Austenland!) I do plan on reading them soon, though!

  29. First off, I want to say how much I REALLY ENJOY reading Sarah Ladd’s books!!!! I’m officially hooked now! I can’t wait to read more books by Sarah Ladd! I’m a VERY big fan of Jane Austen and my favorite book by Jane Austen is Pride and Prejudice. I re-read Pride and Preudice this year and I fell in love with the story all over again! *sigh* 🙂

  32. Though I’ve not read any Jane Austen books (yes, I’m publicly admitting this), I LOVE the movie “Emma”. I really would like to read it to compare. I’m sure the book is much better, as usually is the case! I did, however, read the second in Sarah Ladd’s series and LOVED it! I can’t wait to read the first and this newest one!   37. I’m an avid fan of Jane Austen and new authors who write in the same vein. I love the witty banter of Lizzy Bennett but I think my favorite of Jane’s novels is Persuasion.

  39. To be honest, I’ve seen more of the movies based on Jane Austen’s books than read the books themselves,but I love those stories. Mansfield Park was the first one that I ever actually did read, and I loved it! I think Persuasion edged it out just slightly, though. 😀
