Y’all, I had so much fun hanging out with my romantic suspense writing friends Mary Alford, Elizabeth Goddard, and Natalie Walters. We chatted about writing, plotting and pantsing, how ideas come to life, and much more. Did you know two of these authors love eating peanut M&Ms while they write? Do you know who’d they like to spend time with? Then come join the conversation. And be sure to go to the end to enter the giveaway.

Among the InnocentsBook cover for Among the Innocent by Mary Alford: When Leah Miller’s entire Amish family was murdered ten years ago, the person believed responsible took his own life. Since then, Leah left the Amish and joined the police force. Now, after another Amish woman is found murdered with the same MO, it becomes clear that the wrong man may have been blamed for her family’s deaths.

As Leah and the new police chief, Dalton Cooper, work long hours struggling to fit the pieces together in order to catch the killer, they can’t help but grow closer. When secrets from both of their pasts begin to surface, an unexpected connection between them is revealed. But this is only the beginning. Could it be that the former police chief framed an innocent man to keep the biggest secret of all buried? And what will it mean for Leah–and Dalton–when the full truth comes to light?

  2. Cara, I love your books. The first one I read was about the North Platte Canteen. I think I wrote you then & told you that I had been born in North Platte and actually have met at least 1 lady that helped meet those trains. I prefer to hold a book in my hands to read it instead of downloading an e-book. I tried that and never finished the book. When I got the hard copy, I couldn’t wait to finish it. Just Ms. Old School (at least OLD).

  3. What a fantastic give-away and a great way to introduce readers to new Christian authors! If they write as well as you do, whoever wins is in for a treat! I’m a hard-copy girl myself – can’t beat curling up with a good novel and cuppa cocoa, but I do appreciate ebooks when it comes time to travel – saves a lot of weight for my luggage!
