Character Sheets & Audiobook Giveaways
I’m about halfway through the creation of my next book. It’s still the rough draft, really rough, but last night I was working on the cover and marketing information form. It’s a little surreal to complete details about important scenes and the characters.
I’ve known what Savannah, the heroine, has looked like since Beyond Justice, but now that she has her own book, I’ve had to dig deep. She has a rescue kitten in Delayed Justice, but the poor kitty is nameless. I had no idea exactly where in the Virginia suburbs of DC the poor woman lives. Now I have a pinterest board with images of her adorable cottage.
As readers, do you enjoy seeing the places and images authors have when they create their story worlds? I’m always torn, because I get pretty vivid ideas in my mind’s eye. But if you love having that peek behind the curtain, I have a series of my research boards, one for each book, on Pinterest. They let you see the characters, important locations in the book, and other research details. You can see them all here.
I’ve also been hard at work this spring turning many of my homefront WWII stories into audiobooks. They will start rolling out in the next couple weeks, but I wanted to give you the opportunity to listen to one. I have a few codes for Canteen Dreams to share. I’ll have others as the rest of the books release. If you would like to listen to a download of one of my audiobooks, and maybe leave a review, just enter using the form below. I’ll give away one audiobook for each 50 entries. The more the merrier!

I need to find that one to listen to. I’m listening to Grave Robber by Mark Batterson right now.
Sounds interesting!
Audio fangirl big time 🎧!!
Jessica Dotta”s series a Def favorite because narrator was perfection.. could bring characters to life and with authentic accents.
Too often a wrong narrator loses readers to dnf…
Thanks for the offer and congrats moving into audio world 😊
❤️❤️❤️ Audible. Favs are The Mitford Series by Jan Karon, The Poldark Series by Winston Graham, and it’s the best way to “read” the Classics!
I enjoy audiobooks.
I would say Game of Thrones.
